Resident Evil Escape Experience, Capcom & iam8bit, San Francisco (CA)

"Gurghhhhhhaaaa..."

The Resident Evil Escape Experience was dark, creepy and...underwhelming. The set design was cool but when the only things to open are padlocks, it gets old fast. The actors hired played the part of Umbrella Corp technicians and they were pretty creepy which played well with the theme. The music at the end puts you into panic mode and given it's only 45 minutes, it does get your adrenaline running. We escaped with the fastest time of the day at 39mins.

We are beginning to think that traveling rooms may not be great and that they try to capitalize on what's hot.

Pros: Creepy theme across all aspects of the room/actors was prevalent throughout making it pretty immersive

Cons: Only padlocks, some rooms were extremely tight, pricey, they make you watch a Resident Evil game trailer at the end :)
  • Set/room design: Good
  • Technology/automation: Gen-1 (low tech)
  • Difficulty: Difficult, due to being pretty dark and not much time
  • Price: $42/person, mixed groups if you don't buy all six tickets
  • Number of players: 3-5, open to the public (we recommend 2-3)
  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Overall Rating:
See their website here: Or not...there is no offical site, just eventbrite page for tickets...
